STORY/
Sanam Samanian is a narrative-focused curator, strategist and futurist consultant based in Toronto, internationally working to develop content—specific to contemporary art, architecture and design. In her practice, Sanam leverages strategic tactics (foresighting, positioning, branding, navigation, installation, curation) while collaborating with artists, designers and architects to frame/introduce future-oriented thoughts and ideas. Infinitely curious about humanity's impact, she continues to combine her academic education with empirical experience, leading independent projects and supporting the strategic development of renowned firms and international artists. In 2014, Sanam was appointed as the Executive Director for the fourth instalment of the city-wide Toronto Design Festival. A regular contributor to international journals, she cites "Intermission" at MacLaren Art Centre (2011), "Soft Souls" at Walnut Contemporary (2015), "Transmutation" at New York’s Governors Island Art Fair (2015) and "Evolution" at Canada's Design Exchange Museum (2017) to be her most memorable curation work to-date.
